The Portland Cultural Dance Collective (PCDC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to celebrating, preserving, and sharing the joy of dance and movement arts. By taking over the operations of the beloved Vitalidad Movement Arts Center (VMAC), PCDC aims to carry forward its legacy while expanding its reach and impact in the Portland community. Our vision is to make dance and movement accessible to all, fostering inclusivity, creativity, and cultural connection.

- Increase Accessibility: Provide scholarships and financial assistance to ensure that no student is turned away due to financial constraints.
- Engage the Community: Create diverse workshops, community events, and outreach programs that celebrate the rich tapestry of cultural dance traditions.
- Promote Inclusivity: Serve as a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities.
- Enrich Lives: Inspire personal growth, creativity, and health through accessible dance education and artistic expression.
🎉 PCDC Monthly Giving Campaign – We Need Our Community 🎉
VMAC/PCDC NEEDS YOUR HELP! While we may look like we’re doing well from the outside, the truth is that we are operating on a shoestring budget to keep this community space alive.
For the past eight months, the three operation managers who keep VMAC running — Deblin, Carolina, and Jamal — have volunteered their time and gone without a paycheck so that classes, socials, and our cultural programs could continue.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re launching our Monthly Giving Campaign to raise $5,000/month in recurring donations. Monthly support is what will make the difference between keeping VMAC open or being forced to close our doors.
If VMAC has impacted your life — through dance, community, friendships, or belonging — we ask from our hearts that you consider becoming a monthly donor. Even $10 or $25 a month helps more than you know. And all donations are tax-deductible, since we are a nonprofit.
